I almost took one home . . .

. . . it's not like they wouldn't have another one to keep them company!  I shot my first set of twins this weekend and whichever one I was holding - that one was my favorite for the time being.  Weighing in at 5'10 and 5'2, they were the smallest, sweetest bundles of joy I have yet to photograph.  And the parents are so sweet as well.  In between baby/motherhood talk with mom and photography/technology talk with dad (he's a Canon lover, too) we were able to capture the most amazing moments of their twin sister bond.  They were especially good after a good swaddling.  I gave mom a lesson on how to swaddle a baby to where they can't get loose and will sleep comfortably for hours.  Hope they did good last night for you.  After all, twins aren't just double the fun but double the crying, double the diapers, and double the sleep deprivation!  Hoping for a good night's sleep really soon for the whole family, enjoy your preivew!

Monroe

I haven't done a baby girl in a long time.  There's been tons of newborn boys and while I love them as well, there's nothing like the sweet daintiness of a fresh baby girl.  Even her cries made me wish my own two year old princess was that small again.  Now two weeks old, Monroe arrived right on her due date and has been keeping Mom and Dad on their toes ever since.  I think she's almost got her nights and days straightened out and so hopefully everyone will get some well needed rest soon.  Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!  I can't wait to watch her grow from a beautiful baby into a beautiful young lady.

Kristi + Jeremy: maternity

I know that when Reagan is born, she will be the sweetest, happiest baby girl on the block.  Kristi and Jeremy's photo shoot was full of laughs and giggles and I truly enjoyed meeting such a happy couple.  They're so adorable and made me feel so welcome into their home.  I can't wait to come back in a couple of months after that little pink room is full of life.  Until then, enjoy this preview and your sleep!

Veronica + Mitch: Anytime

A lot of my inspiration in my work comes directly from my clients.  Take Veronica and Mitch, for example.  They came to me after recently celebrating their 20 year anniversary and wanted a photo shoot done just for them.  I found out that they're all about the outdoors, camping, biking all that stuff.  But the first thing that she told me is that they LOVE the beach!  Now here we are in North Central Texas and she's telling me they love the beach.  Well that's where the inspiration comes in.  I was determined to find a beach somewhere in the middle of suburban Texas.  And that's exactly what I found, a great manmade beach out by the lake, practically in Veronica and Mitch's backyard.  A place that none of us even knew really existed.  See, had they left out that detail about themselves, I would have never been inspired to find such an awesome location because truth be told, I also LOVE the beach.  So of course I took my kids and some girlfriends out there today!  And so that's why this blog post is a little later than expected.  Sorry guys, thanks for being patient for your sneak peek.  I had such a fun time on our photo shoot/vacation.  Thanks for the inspiration!

Sweet Maddox

I just met such an adorable family.  The star of the photo session was seven week old Maddox, but big brother Mason and their incredible parents definitely lent to the success of the shoot.  Even though Maddox was not feeling his best, he managed to give off some sweet looks and even several smiles.  It was so nice to meet you guys and I can't wait to watch little Maddox grow up.

 

1st and 10

I'm not referring to the common football term, but the expecting couple I photographed recently.  After celebrating ten years of marriage, they're adding their first child to the family.  It's a baby girl yet to be named who will join this well-established union.  Well, Michele and Will, you guys have definitely had time to get to know each other well and I can't wait for you to meet and get to know your new little one.

 

The Cutest Bookworm

I had the privilege of doing a shoot for my good friend's niece visiting from New Orleans this summer.  Morgan is only seven but she's completely brilliant, the main reason being that she loves to read!  Since being in Texas, she's already added about a dozen titles to her collection on a recent book shopping spree.  Morgan, I know it was a  little . . . okay, extremely hot outside, so thanks for sticking it out for the shoot.  Keep reading and growing and I can't wait to see you the next time you visit!

Great model . . . good with kids

I'm so proud to introduce this young lady whom I got the chance to shoot recently.  Not only is she an awesome model, but Angelica (affectionately called Jelly) is also my babysitter -- my kids' babysitter that is.  She's always so helpful and my kids love her so I was so excited we finally got the chance to do her photo shoot.  She's helping me out with my senior campaign that will launch this summer along with my seniors only website.  We found some cool locations while out driving around and I can't wait to go through all of the pictures.  Here's a few that caught my eye, so enjoy the preview!

 

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? . . .

If you know the answer to that question, more than likely you've seen Spongebob Squarepants.  I know I hear that familiar song everyday at  1pm as my 2 year old daughter runs into the living room from wherever she is screaming, "Pub-bob, Pun-bob"  It's the highlight of their day . . . really!  Anyway, we had the opportunity to meet him live at the grand opening of a new minor leagues ballpark here in Grand Prairie, TX.  Not only is there a great baseball field, but also a swimming pool over looking home plate, a huge kids' area with rock climbing, a playground, & batting cages--the whole 9!  We spent most of our time on the playground as Spongebob was much bigger than he looks on TV and therefore made the kids a little nervous.  Regardless, I was able to get a few shots of our Sunday fun-day featuring the absorbent, yellow, porous, Spongebob Squarepants.  Enjoy!
